THE ADVENTURES OF OLIVER MILLS

This is the story of a thriving planet. It all started with one seed. The seed fell from the sun and landed on the planet. After many years the seed sprouted.  A trunk and leaves grew and grew until they reached the highest clouds. Once the tree had reached its peak, many more seeds fell from the sun and grew like the first. Soon enough, the entire planet was full of trees. That was the very beginning of a thriving planet.

After being a planet for many hundreds of years, problems began to arise. One day, the top of a tree caught on fire. None of the animals living on the planet knew how or why this had happened. From that point on, things only got worse. Soon, every tree on the planet was on fire. Meteorites were falling from the sky! The planet started to fight back by sending shock waves into the sky. After several hours, the meteorites stopped coming. The defense had paid off. Luckily, enough of the animals survived, that life on the planet did not end.

                                             

One day, a young boy named Oliver Mills decided to do something about the problem. He made the decision to explore a new planet. Once he explored the new planet he would be able to start a civilization and carry on with his life. Now, Oliver knew nothing about what was going to happen to him or how he was going to get to this new planet, so he ventured out into the woods. While walking through the depths of the trees, he saw a glowing light, and had no idea what it could be. Was it a house? a flashlight that someone had dropped and was still on? Never did it occur to Oliver that it was a UFO that had landed there the previous day. As he walked closer, he investigated the astonishing object. Without hesitation, the young boy walked up to the door of the spacecraft, and climbed in. After exploring the inside for only a few moments Oliver knew for sure what he was going to use to get to the planet and how he was going to get there.

Soon enough, the UFO landed on the new planet. When Oliver arrived, there were thousands of exotic, beautiful plants surrounding him. Now, this is not at all what the little boy was expecting. He imagined there to be dry ground and not a trace of life on the planet. But when Oliver laid eyes on this ball of vegetation, he was astonished. Because he was by himself, Oliver had to decide what he was going to next. Would he leave his camp, or would he go explore? The boy chose to go explore, leaving all of his valuables behind. Oliver was about a half mile from camp when he saw smoke rising from a nearby hill. He decided to investigate. When Oliver came to the top of the hill, to his surprise there was a small house. Without hesitation, the boy ran down to the door of the cabin, and knocked. After about a minute, a short, stubby troll opened the door and welcomed Oliver into his home. The two had a conversation, and the troll told him about how there were many more creatures roaming around the planet. The troll explained that he would have to sign a contract stating that he would do no harm to the planet. Oliver agreed and headed back to his camp. While he was walking, the boy realized that this journey really wasn’t that bad after all.

Oliver became good friends with the troll, and found out that his name was Grgich. They talked for hours, and Oliver taught Grgich how to play baseball. He explained that it was one of the many sports that he plays on his planet. Grgich loved playing baseball, so he decided to teach his friends how to play the sport. Soon enough, all the trolls on the planet knew how to play baseball. Now, all Oliver had to do was teach them the many other sports that he knows how to play.
