 Bert’s Adventure

By Kate Stevens
Once upon a time there was a small planet. It was a thriving planet with lush rain forests, crystal clear oceans, sky-rocketing mountain peaks, sandy deserts and incredible valleys. But yet the planet lay peaceful and undisturbed for as not a human had ever laid foot on it.

But yet as time went by, humans did start to evolve and they started to build cities and cars and slowly the small planet became polluted.  But then out of nowhere small creatures called Trogs, invaded the planet and started to take over the cities.

But a young genius, Bert, at a mere 11 years old decided it was time for a change. Bert retreated to a hideaway up in the mountains not far from the destroyed city. Bert started planning for a new civilization on another planet. He started thinking of ideas about how to get there and who to bring. He decided a rocket would be the best mode of transportation and that he would bring a chef, Lumberjack, Doctor, and a farmer to come along with him.

Though  the lumberjack was very honored to be asked to go to the new planet he was also very sad to leave his home in the woods.

Bert and the rest of the crew took their rocket and blasted off to find a place for the  new civilization. They traveled far into space until they found the best planet out there.

Bert and the rest of the crew landed on a planet that they thought was perfect! It was a water planet with beautiful everlasting sunrises. But when they landed on the planet the crew found a huge surprise!!! There were creatures swimming on it with incredible homes that they built themselves!

Bert and one of the creatures, Blob, exchanged thoughts and ideas and learned valuable life skill from each other. Blob taught Bert how to fix his old planet and Bert was forever thankful. Bert and the rest of the crew flew back to their old planet and they were able to use Blob’s advice for fixing the old planet. The planet ended up turning back to normal and all the Trogs were killed, and everyone in Bert’s crew lived happily ever after.

The End!!
