A Changing Planet

by Max McComb

Earth, thriving at its beginning, broke down as the human race completely layered it in smoke and polluted it with other harmful waste. A group of about 5 people thought they could possibly find a clear, open planet to keep the human race from going extinct. One night when the stars were brightly shining in the wide open sky, the group of people gathered with a highly powered telescope and searched space for an empty planet. When the found what they were looking for, they hopped into their rocket and blasted off.

The world then changed in a devastating way. Crystal blue rivers and oceans, turned swampy greet with trash, beautiful shimmering grass and flowers transformed to yellow and brown and were filled with toxins. The world was coming to an end, except there was one hope. A mad scientist named Jared, decided to get a team of 6 people to come on a journey to a completely clear, nice, planet. He decided to prepare for this long trip by living deep in the bottom of the ocean, just like a planet in space, there is no oxygen and it is dark. This would be a perfect place to start off

The mad scientist then decided that instead of building a rocket ship, he would create fish that would turn into birds and take him to the new planet. He tied up different sea life and tried to combine them to make a flying fish that he would name trogs. He decided to use a magical octopus and a rainbow deep sea Pegasus in order to design his trogs. He used a touch of poison from exploding sea volcanoes in order to finish his masterpiece. His creation for trogs was finally complete and ready to test out, the only problem was, could they handle his weight, plus the glass ball that surrounded him? There was only one way to find out, that was to take one up into the skies and test it out.

The mad scientist took his trogs up into the air and flew them around the sky for a test run. Later, he decided that his creations were ready to take him up to space. He designed a carriage to attach to one of his biggest trogs, that would carry him to the spotless planet. He took his trog, plus others, out of the crumbling earth and glided through space until he found what he was looking for. He added extra oxygen to his glass ball surrounding him, to last until one of his friends would come up and resupply him.

After he flew through space for some time, he finally reached what he was looking for. His trogs landed and he hopped off of his carriage. When he got out, he noticed some movement and called out, “hello!” There was no response. He yelled out the same thing and then a weird purplish blue alien climbed out from behind a colorful house. He said, “welcome.” Jared and this alien named Tom talked for a while and Jared agreed that he would not destroy this planet. Tom helped Jared find a house and Jared said that the perfect house was the one right behind Tom. Tom agreed to give Jared the house and they both parted ways for the night. There was a big future ahead of him.
